Break Up Canada
Posted by Adam Graham on August 9, 2005
A poll conducted by the Western Standard indicates rising support among the Western Provinces for a break from Canada:
In the survey, 35.6 per cent of respondents from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia agreed with the statement: Western Canadians should begin to explore the idea of forming their own country.
This is huge, Alberta’s almost ready to go with about 42% ready to split up Canada. Manitoba’s lowering it down a little bit, but that’s mainly because of their proximity to Toronto, so probably half of Manitoba would be stronger than the other.
Then you’ve got Quebec that almost split and it becomes apparent that Canada is messed up and needs to be broken up with the arrogant Easterners in Toronto. I’m in favor the US annexing Alberta and Saskatchewan (becoming the 51st and 52nd states). Ontario and most of Manitoba can be Canada and keep Nunavut, Northwest Territories and the Yukon, along with British Columbia (which is also a bit hesitant according to the poll.
Then Quebec should become its own nation, a French speaking sovereignty in North America. Then New Foundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island could together form the 53rd US state for the simple reason that Quebec would cut it off from the rest of the new “Canada”. I think all things considered everyone would be happier as the Quebecers wouldn’t have to deal with English Canadians, the Western Territories could forget about learning French, and Ontario could act without worrying about offending western Canadians—oh wait they already do!

Roberts Defended the Law
Posted by Adam Graham on August 9, 2005
A pro-abortion group is now making hey about Judge Roberts’ filing a brief before the Supreme Court. The Washington Post
reports:
The ad, sponsored by NARAL Pro-Choice America, focuses on Roberts’s role in a case involving whether a 19th-century anti-Ku Klux Klan statute could be used to shut down blockades of health clinics by abortion protesters. The solicitor general’s office filed a friend-of-the-court brief siding with the clinic protesters, including Operation Rescue. The high court ruled 6 to 3 against the health clinics in January 1993…
In his oral argument before the court, Roberts said, according to a transcript of the proceedings, “The United States appears in this case not to defend petitioners’ tortious conduct, but to defend the proper interpretation” of the statute.
Now, for those of you not into legal lingo what Roberts is saying is that the abortion protests were committing civil offenses that could be dealt with through Civil law and that wasn’t what the United States was defending. Judge Roberts was arguing that the law in question could not apply to pro-life protestors and the Supreme Court which had just re-affirmed Roe v. Wade concurred and said, “Sorry, folks this isn’t in the law!” So Judge Roberts is in effect being attacked by NARAL for correctly (according to a 2/3 majority of the Supreme Court) applying the law. This is the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard.
We go on further in the story to detail NARAL’s Ad:
“Supreme Court nominee John Roberts filed court briefs supporting violent fringe groups and a convicted clinic bomber,” the ad states. The ad concludes by saying, “America can’t afford a justice whose ideology leads him to excuse violence against other Americans…”
NARAL President Nancy Keenan defended the ad but said, “We’re not suggesting that Mr. Roberts condones clinic violence.”
Then what are you suggesting? You have an ad saying that Judge John Roberts “excuses violence against other Americans” and then you claim you’re not saying he condones clinic violence. You can’t have it both ways. This is an ungrounded attack, because Judge Roberts refused to agree with an illegal use of law.
There was one other thing that struck me in this article:
The NARAL ad, set to begin airing tomorrow on local channels in Maine and Rhode Island and nationally on the CNN and Fox News cable networks, features Emily Lyons, a clinic director who was badly injured when a bomb exploded at her clinic in Birmingham in 1998.
Wait a second. The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act was passed in 1994. Yet, this bombing in 1998. Hmmm. So doesn’t this tell us something about the absurdity of trying to make laws to apply to lawless people. This has stopped a lot less criminals than it has well-meaning Catholic women with rosaries as the law has silence many non-violent pro-lifers, but has nothing to stop clinic violence.

Its Not As Bad As I Thought…Its Worse
Posted by Adam Graham on August 9, 2005
Having viewed the video of Planned Parenthood Golden Gate’s Pro-Choice Superhero available for a limited at the site of the guy who wrote the soundtrack (until Planned Parenthood forces it down to cover up the total embarassment their organization deserves).
Yeah, the killing of the abstinence guy, the blowing up of several protestors, the decapitation of one another. Not reported or at least not very prominently is Dianysis making noises about a need to “pay a visit to Jerry Falwell.) A condom drapes over the Washington Monument and then the artists sink to Blasphemy by playing the “Hallelujah Chorus” to celebrate a Planned Parenthood victory.
Its bad folks with a Capital “B” and when will someone on the left respond with some outrage! Some righteous anger at terrorists who seek to make their points in the abortion through violence. I’m not holding my breath.

Off the Net Without Apology
Posted by Adam Graham on August 9, 2005
The Dawn Patrol has word Planned Parenthood Golden Gate has taken down the link to its disgusting cartoon after more than a day of intense pressure. Bad news? No apology. They just think as they live in San Francisco and have no clue about the outside world where these things aren’t so common that it’ll just blow over.
Ain’t going to happen. According to Dawn Eden, its still up on the web. Its a huge download at 80+MB, but I’m downloading and will be able to watch it all the way through.
The anger is real Dawn Eden even suggests there’s something very negative goign on with Dian Harrison who the Planned Parenthood “hero” is based on:
You may already know Harrison—or, as she’s known in the cartoon, “Dianysis”—from her response to Monty Patterson, whose 18-year-old daughter, Holly Patterson, died after a Planned Parenthood Golden Gate branch gave her the abortion drug RU-486. According to the Web site San Francisco Faith, “After Holly’s death on September 17 [2003], Dian Harrison of Planned Parenthood Golden Gate, the affiliate that runs the Hayward clinic, issued this statement: ‘We extend our deepest sympathies to the family. We wish them strength and support in this tragic time.’ Yet, Monty Patterson says that Planned Parenthood hasn’t offered his family any support. ‘They haven’t offered anything,’ Patterson said. ‘They don’t even return my calls.’”
Interesting stuff. As Drudge would say. Developing hard!
