Apples to Apples

The Grant campaign proclaims:

Max Cleland outdraws Cheney 3-to-1

Yes, that’s accurate as we all know that an Evening Event with $10 tickets planned months in advance in the middle of autumn is the exact same thing as a mid-afteroon event with $125 tickets planned three weeks advance smack dab in the middle of Summer. Larry Grant is getting over-confident and cocky:

But as Larry Grant noted, there’s a reason the NRCC is dumping close to $400,000 in negative ads into Idaho. “That means they know they’re going to lose,” he said. And there’s a reason why the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has named the ID-01 contest to its list of “emerging races.”

“That means they know we’re going to win,” Larry said.

Mr. Grant, I believe you are a tad confused. If the NRCC “knows” you’re going to win, they pull out money and don’t spend anything there and spend money on races they can win. Nobody says, “Let’s go spend $400,000 on a race we can’t win.”

Mr. Grant is trailing, the latest poll showed, even after the Foley Scandal.
