Conservatives Put Their Money Where Their Mouths Are

Posted by Adam Graham on June 1, 2007

Pop Culture Illiterate Weekend Open Trackbacks

Posted by Adam Graham on June 1, 2007

I don’t know who won American idol and I don’t care. Yet, somehow I know enough to know that Simon Cowell’s a real jerk. I’ve not seen the latest films, so I confess. I’m a pop culture illiterate.

Of course, this presents a problem. How do you function in society without knowing the lead singer for (whatever the name of that big band that’s really popular.) Am I helplessly out of touch? Do I need a federally funded rehab at E! Entertainment networks to make me functional in today’s society and is this proof that homeschooled kids lack necessary skills (like being able to recite the popular song of a moment a thousand times or debating the minutae of a staged reality TV show?) The questions abound. How will I survive, whatever will I do? I’ll manage I guess.

Enough about me, on to the party. First, the rules:

1) Post about anything that’s in good taste. No porn, no spam, no profanity.
2) Send me a trackback of any tasteful post you want and as soon as I check my blog, I’ll update this post with your link provided you link back to this thread. If your software won’t allow you to send trackbacks, just use the Wizbang Standalone Pinger.

3) Deadline is Sunday at 11:00 PM MT. Further trackbacks won’t be posted after that time.

For your convenience here’s today’s link. If you’re a registered user, the, trackback should appear below. If not, here’s the process:

Enter the characters as shown in the box and something like this should appear

This is a Trackback URL that’s good one time only so that we can seperate humans from spammer bots.

Novelty or Old News
As interesting as what Professor Gannon and former Congressman Gibbons are telling, it is actually very old news. The movie and the book, The Longest Day, depicted the use of these crickets. Why is this suddenly news 63 years after the war and 45 yea…
