Everyone is sympathetic with the plight of John and Elizabeth Edwards and her tragic cancer. However, when John starts soliciting well-wishers for funds is despicable.

News flash: using “the google”, bloggers have confirmed what most of us thought pretty damn obvious but the wingnutosphere simply wouldn’t accept: the generic “send a note to Elizabeth and John” form has existed, and added you to the Edwards email list, since long before Elizabeth’s diagnosis.

Needless to say, you assholes continue to slander and vilify the man and his dying wife right up through Easter day. I really don’t know what to say about this behavior, coming from such fine Christians as yourselves, except that you all really ought to be ashamed. I see the Harpy Queen Malkin has yet to offer a retraction or even a correction, and I’m sure the rest of you will conduct yourselves in a similarly disgraceful manner.

Given the nature of these “notes” a human being (do they still have those working on the Edwards camp) should have screened out these e-mails as to avoid this situation. It was easily forseeable and should have been avoided. At best the man’s merely incompetent.

You’re a real piece of work. Tell you what, though. Keep pushing this bullshit story. It seems like you need a lesson in the law of unintended consequences.
