Right is Done

The ruling in favor of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban is something we can thank the President for with the changes on the court. It at last ends that barbaric practice and overturns the damage of Stenberg.

Pro-Life Blogs has an interesting observation on Justice Ginsburg’s dissent:

“and the Court’s defense of it cannot be understood as anything other than an effort to chip away at a right declared again and again by this Court — and with increasing comprehension of its centrality to women’s lives. A decision of the character the Court makes today should not have staying power.”

Pro-Life Blogs points out a problem with this statement:

What’s wrong with this statement? Well, this ruling is now precedence (sic), yet Ginsberg is hinting that it should be overturned! Typical liberal hypocrisy – they follow the rules that serve their interests but abandon the same rules when they don’t.

There’s something far more wrong in Ginsburg’s transparency. Because she admits the right to abortion doesn’t come from actual rights in the Constitution but rather declared rights by the Courts. She’d cite the danger to the 14th Amendment rights if it were truly an issue of the Constitution, but as it is judicial over-reach, she slips and tells the truth.

  1. This is a great day for the pro-life movement. We have Senator Sam Brownback to thank for rejecting Miers and getting Justice Alito on the court.

I’m not a Brownback supporter, but I’ll give the Senator that.
