Introducing Your Guest Bloggers Friday/Saturday Linkfest

Posted by Adam Graham on May 5, 2006

Ladies and gentlemen, regular readers of the blog, I’m pleased to announce I’ve got a fine line-up of bloggers who’ll be sharing their work next week as I’m out of the country.

These guys deserve a big introduction like at the All-Star Games, so here it is.

Imagine a big stadium, with music playing.

“Are You All Ready for this?” and a booming voice over the sound System.

“Introducing someone whose like the brother Adam never had because he’s the brother he did have, Stelek…”

(Applause)

“Now, with vital information on Israel, you won’t get from the mainstream press, Avi Green!”

(Applause)

“With reliable pro-life information and a dedication to exposing the abortion industry, welcome Christina Dunigan!”

(Applause)

“Welcome now, an expert on politics, religion, a Catholic’s Catholic, David Oatney!”

(Applause)

“Welcome back to Adam’s Blog, the ever thoughtful and faithful, Romeocat!”

(Thunderous earth-shattering applause)

“And now a late addition to the line-up, that singer extraordinair, Mr. Jake Jacobsen of Freedom Folks

“And now, ladies and gentlemen, the Captain of the Guest Blogging team, in honor of Cartoonists day, please welcome Random Yak Yak Yak!”

Thanks so much for volunteering, I truly appreciate the help, guys. Now, welcome and have fun this week.

Now, welcome to today’s Open Trackback party:

1) Post about anything that’s in good taste. No porn, no spam, no profanity.

2) Send me a trackback of any tasteful post you want and as soon as I check my blog, I’ll update this post with your link provided you link back to this thread. If your software won’t allow you to send trackbacks, just use the Wizbang Standalone Pinger

3) Deadline is Saturday at 7:00 PM. As I’m leaving the country on a 7 o’clock flight Saturday night, this linkfest is being cut short. Further trackbacks won’t be posted after that time.

Click above to see all the great places you can promote your work today.

Here’s today link and the trackback:

Despite Their Actions, We Must Continue
Today, or was it yesterday according to local time, a British helicopter was struck down in the southern Iraqi city of Basra. While the helo was spiraling towards the ground, groups of Iraqi citizens took the streets and cheered the crash of the helo…
The Florida Masochist:

What do you think?
So I want to hear from some fellow bloggers. Did I do something wrong? Do you feel I owe Donnah an apology or do you think Donnah over reacted? I emailed Donnah a link to this post, also hoping to elicit her response.

Cathouse Chat:

Adam is going on vacation
And I get to help out while he’s gone… Now, of course, with crazy people like Random Yak, um, assisting, I may be lured (LURED! “Lured,” I tell you!) into some small indiscretions…

Random Yak:

Party at Adam’s Blog!

Oh wait, he’s not quite gone yet. Nevermind, forget I said it.

There will be no party.

Nope, no party at all.

(Adam’s Note: Ummmm, should I be worried? ;) )

Thanks for the Warning

Posted by Adam Graham on May 5, 2006

I was registering online late last night with the US Consulate in Cancun, so that they’d know I’d be in the country in case I got in trouble. I’m not planning for trouble, but if it comes, I need to have someone I can count on to help. Unfortunately, outside the country, I have to settle for the US Government.

The form was interesting. It asked at the bottom who they could release my information to and two options on there were Members of Congress and the Media. I went ahead and checked Members of Congress as if they want to know, it must really be important, but didn’t check members of the media because I really don’t want to deal with the mainstream press on vacation. Note the Bias, there was no option to have your information released to bloggers!

Then after I submitted I got a series of warnings. The first and latest was a seven month old Hurricane Warning. If there’s a time travfelling vortex, I’ll be careful not to go 7 mohnths in the past. What would I do without such helpful information?
